I’m pretty sure that all of you, LG V30 owners in the United States, can’t wait to get your hands on the highly-anticipated Android 8.0 Oreo update, so I’m glad to tell you that you won’t have to wait too long.

After releasing the update in South Korea, LG has started testing Android 8.0 Oreo for the V30 in the US. At least one LG V30 owner received the update for its US unlocked version of the smartphone.

The update comes with the latest January security patch, but it’s still a beta build. It’s yet unclear how many LG V30 users in the US got the update, but we’re probably talking about a very limited number of beta testers.

It’s worth mentioning the international LG V30 has yet to receive the update too, but the US version might get it first. Either way, let’s hope LG will be able to roll our Android Oreo for the V30 sooner rather than later.
