That should be one of the reasons the OnePlus keeps delivering software updates that add new features, improve existing ones or simply fix some things that didn’t work as intended.
The latest OxygenOS 4.5.14 update has one important task: to fix the dreaded KRACK security issue that would leave those using WiFi network secured via WPA2 encryption exposed to malicious attacks from third-parties.
Also, the update should optimize a few things, such as the battery usage in some cases and GPS accuracy. Finally, OxygenOS 4.5.14 brings support for Airtel VoLTE in India, as well as band 66 support for Freedom carrier in Canada.
The update is pushed OTA (over the air) incrementally, so it will only reach a small percentage of OnePlus 5 users in the first few days, but a broader roll-out after that will make it available to everyone.
